Cultural Service sits within Customer Services and covers Museums, Libraries, Theatres, CultureDale (Calderdale Year of Culture Delivery Team), Creative Industries and Cultural Strategy Development.

Calderdale turned 50 in 2024 and to mark a key milestone of our Vision 2024 we have developed CultureDale, a Year of Culture celebrating the richness, diversity and distinctiveness of our communities across Calderdale.
In support of our aspirations for the year and to create a legacy for the creative/cultural sector, we have secured funding from Arts Council England to support CalderdaleCreates (a network of arts, heritage and community organisations) development plans to grow, thrive and create a sustainable operating model for the future.
We are looking for an experienced individual at ease with partnership working to support and represent CalderdaleCreates in high level meetings, including cross-sectoral partnerships in key areas such as education, social care, health, employment and skills, business and regeneration.
The role will be based in Cultural Service but will work with CalderdaleCreates steering group on organisation development, governance, performance, monitoring, training and growing/diversifying the network to develop the sector.
The role will contribute to strategic development in Calderdale, including the cultural strategy delivery plan, cultural education partnership, health and well-being initiatives, inclusive economic growth, stronger communities, creative industries development, tourism and destination management.
If you have extensive experience of successfully supporting the development of an organisation/network, we would welcome your application.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong track record in this area, including project management, funding applications, financial acumen, report writing, organisational and communication skills and be adept at collaborative working.
