As the Leaving Care (Pathways) and Calderdale Therapeutic Service (CTS) Manager you will take responsibility for two small services.
The Pathways service provides our statutory service for care leavers aged 18+ and comprises of a team of one Practice Manager and 6 Pathways Advisors.
The Calderdale Therapeutic Service provides therapeutic interventions for children in care, care leavers and children on the edge of care. The team comprises of 3 Practice Managers, 1 Advanced Practitioner and a small number of keyworkers and sessional workers. The team also has a part time psychologist.
You will join an experienced management team in a service that is innovative and committed to systemic practice. We follow an ethos of kindness and we are extremely proud of our staff, who go the extra mile and care passionately about children, care leavers and their work. You will work closely with our partners and will continue our mission to make Calderdale the best place for children to grow up.
You will be required to promote and lead a culture of professional responsibility, accountability, learning and continuous improvement as well as ensuring the achievement of performance targets relevant to this service area and ensure that appropriate and timely decisions are made concerning the management of the team, staff development, priorities and allocation of the work resources.
The successful applicant will have a demonstrable understanding of the interface between operational and strategic management in a children’s social care context as well as experience of assessing risk and needs of children and families.
Applicants must hold a recognised Social Work qualification, have experience of management and be registered with Social Work England.
