Our Neighbourhoods & Cohesion Team want to ensure that those who are vulnerable and seeking sanctuary can access the support that is available for them from the Council as well as our partners in the health, voluntary and faith sectors.
This role will support colleagues in the Neighbourhoods & Cohesion teams to ensure that some of our most disadvantaged residents have the best possible safe and warm welcome in the borough.
Calderdale Council is looking for a Migration Support Assistant to provide the vital organisational and service support it needs in order to carry out this work. The role will include working across a wide range of partnership meetings to ensure that clear record keeping and data management is maintained.
The post holder will enjoy working flexibly in a friendly team and will see this role as an opportunity to gain experience and understanding of work with our diverse communities including asylum seekers and refugees and across our safeguarding community delivery on Prevent.
Confident in working with IT and Microsoft Office including Excel spreadsheets, the post holder must have strong written, organisational and communication skills, and be flexible and adaptable to meet evolving needs and fixed deadlines.If you have experience of performing financial and administrative tasks to a high level of quality and accuracy, we will welcome your application.
Good team working skills are essential for this post as the post holder may be often operating remotely from projects and their colleagues.
