The Calderdale Safeguarding Children Partnership and the Calderdale Safeguarding Adult Board steer the coordination of multi-agency safeguarding arrangements, producing policies, procedures, local guidance and providing training to the multi-agency workforce in Calderdale. The Partnerships are led by the Local Authority, Clinical Commissioning Group and West Yorkshire Police, Calderdale District with engagement from the wider statutory and voluntary sector partnership.
The role strengthens how the Calderdale Safeguarding Children Partnership (CSCP) and Safeguarding Adult Board (CSAB) safeguards and promotes the welfare of children and adults in Calderdale. The specific role purpose is to support organisations who work with children, adults and families to ensure that their workforce and volunteers are clear about their responsibilities, are suitably skilled and that training and learning needs are met.
We welcome applications from people who have had experience of training in a multi-agency environment, and a specific focus on safeguarding would be beneficial. The successful candidate would be required to utilise learning from Serious Case Reviews, Safeguarding Adult Reviews, Domestic Homicide Reviews and Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews and lead a training programme based on this local and national learning. In addition, the successful applicant would be instrumental in developing tools, guidance and strategies to improve safeguarding outcomes for children and adults in Calderdale.
