Post Ref: CC077
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Fostering Team for 2 full time Fostering Supervising Social Workers on a 12 month fixed term contract. The roles are required up until October 2020 in order to cover maternity leave and ensure our service delivery continues to be provided to a high standard.
You will be part of the mainstream fostering team and your role will include recruiting, assessing, supervising and supporting our mainstream foster carers. You will be part of a smaller Pod within the mainstream team and will be supervised by one of the Fostering Practice Managers. The focus of our work is to deliver the best possible outcomes for children and young people by increasing placement sufficiency, stability and supporting permanence.
Our most recent Ofsted inspection recognised the strengths of the fostering service, highlighting the quality of our assessments as well as identifying that our foster carers are supported well.
The Voice of the Child is an important part of our work and the successful applicants will be asked to work in creative ways to represent the views of children and young people in placement.
There is greater expectancy on flexible working as evening visits are often required and you will be expected to take part in recruitment events which may take place on a weekend.
