We are looking to recruit a part time (22.5 hours) practice manager to supervise and support social work staff within the Fostering Service. The role of the practice manager will be to work alongside another part time practice manager and supervise and lead a small team of 1 advanced practitioner, 4 FTE social workers and 1 training co-ordinator within the Permanence Pod. Your role will be to drive forward development of this new team, focussing on placement support and achieving permanence through supporting long term fostering placements and progressing special guardianship assessments.
The social workers supervise and support foster carers approved to provide long term placements, support carers linked to families to support placement stability and connected foster carers. The training co-ordinator provides an extensive training offer to all foster carers and coordinates the delivery of training and supports with the completion of TSD workbooks.
We are looking for someone to join our team who has a passion and desire to continuously improve our outcomes. Applications will be considered from experienced social workers wishing to progress into management or current managers looking for a development role within the fostering service. Applications will only be considered from those who hold a recognised social work qualification and can demonstrate a sound understanding of the Fostering Services Regulations and a commitment to achieving permanence for children and young people.
