What we are looking for is to appoint an Advanced Practitioner to join our Children's Assessment Team (CAT). The Children's Assessment Team operates the Borough wide front door service to children and young people in Calderdale. They are responsible for the completion of assessments of children in need and the undertaking of Child Protection Enquires, where there are concerns that children have suffered significant harm, which would also include the instigating of Legal Proceedings.
The Advanced Practitioner will need to be a self motivated practitioner with excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to take responsibility for the development of specific areas of professional social work practice across the borough including mentoring and supporting newly qualified or less experienced social workers in the team. This post also requires being responsible for undertaking social work student placements.
Applications will be considered from qualified social worker (BA/DipSW/CQSW or equivalent), registered with HCPC and who can demonstrate qualifying experience gained within statutory children and families service.
