Post Ref: RS014This role will lead on developing Social Value policy and practice as part of the Inclusive Economy programme. You will focus on helping Council services, our suppliers and providers to integrate Social Value into procurement activity to improve the local economy, provide opportunities for skills and employment, help our communities by improving life opportunities and environments and share our learning with our key anchor organisations across the Borough.
This role will be based with the Inclusive Economy team but would also be expected to work alongside the Procurement Unit to develop our corporate approach to Social Value.
You will have a good understanding of procurement, processes and practices, particularly how this works within public sector. More importantly you will have a passion for ensuring that the way public sector invests its funds has the maximum social benefit for the wider community and the local economy. You will have strong communication skills and be confident working with a range of partners.
