Wardens act as ambassadors for the Council, delivering a high visible presence to promote a positive image of Calderdale. Working with Police, Fire and other partner organisations the team work in Calderdale's Town Centres, residential communities as well as parks and open spaces, proactively assisting in the reduction of crime and anti-social behaviour. The wardens, through prevention, engagement, education and enforcement action, are working to make Calderdale a safer place to live and visit. We are dedicated to being the best borough in the North
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team who is passionate about serving the local community through a flexible approach and possess a strong team mentality. They will be committed to decreasing the fear of crime, have demonstrable communication and organisational skills, and be familiar with working in a customer focused role. In return, Calderdale will invest in your full on-going training and accreditation to fulfil your duties. Grade C or above in GCSE English (or equivalent) is essential and a full UK Driving licence is desirable.
The successful candidate will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks at the appropriate level prior to appointment, along with other relevant employment checks.
