Our Vision for Calderdale in 2024 is a place where everyone can reach their potential and lead a larger life. We will be defined by our innate kindness and resilience and be measured by how our people and communities care and support each other. We have recently been inspected by Ofsted who state within their report that, "we have created a culture in which staff feel valued and safe. Social work is flourishing. It is evident across all levels of social care that all staff are treated with dignity and kindness. This approach has created an environment in which social workers feel listened to and supported to develop their skills and knowledge."
Our Safe Successful Families approach to our children and family social work has transformed our children's social work teams by introducing a systemic approach to working with children and families. We work collaboratively with children and families. We use a shared set of values, a common language and a consistent approach. We prize learning above blame and a supportive, generous work culture is encouraged.
