Post Ref: ACS31In Calderdale we have fantastic opportunities in Children's Social Care and we are looking for passionate and committed Social Workers who can make a meaningful difference to the children of Calderdale. We offer our Social Workers opportunities for continuing growth and development and the prospect of working across urban and rural areas.
We have recently transformed our social work services to follow the principles of Systemic social work practice. Our locality teams are organised into small social work pods comprising a practice manager who oversees the pod, four social workers. Each team is supported by a pod co-ordinator, who supports with administration. Caseloads are well managed and members of the pod share case responsibility. Our therapeutic service provides support to the pods regularly facilitating the weekly group reflective supervision. Pods specialise in Children in Need, Child Protection, or work with children in care.
Everything's changed here at Calderdale, our practice has been recognised by the DfE for permanency planning and our early intervention support is well embedded into our practice. We are expanding our team and looking for Experienced Social Workers to help shape the future of families in the Borough for the better, achieve high standards and ensure children come first
